Dave,
Chalk it up to luck. I just happened to find them early before the pileup
got too large and, luckily, I found the RX freq. That was on the fourth or
fifth day of the DXpedition. I have listened the last few days on 40 and
the signal is reasonably strong and readable....providing all of the idiots
stay off the frequency. The QRN the last week has been pretty noisy, too.

This DXpedition has been a strange one for me. I have found them easy to
work on 20/17/15 on SSB/CW/RTTY, but no luck at all on other bands [except
40]. Last Saturday, Fred and I were both calling on 10 meter CW for several
hours with no luck. I have only heard them faintly on 12 meter CW. Sunday
I thought I had worked them on 30 meters but as it turns out that was a
'slim'. Another slim was on 12 last night. Fred has worked them on 80 but
I have yet to hear them there. And I don't even hold out any hope for 160.

Good luck.

73,
Russ K0VXU

I am having the most trouble working ST?R on 40 CW.? They are not very
strong in
the evening and I am having a heck of a time finding the frequency they are
listening on.? Also, there are more clowns than ever on the ST?R transmit
frequency randomly keying.

Russ K?VXU has worked them on 40 and I am jealous!? Russ, what is your
secret?
