Hi Bill,
When I lived in Gladstone I used a ground mounted AP-8 with 3 radials for
80 and 3 more for 40. They were not buried in straight lines
>From the time I installed it in 1993 until I took it down to move in 2005 I
worked 200+ countries with 62 of them being on 80 meters. I also worked
200+ IOTA, 1000 Counties, 5BWAS and 6 Qs during a 160 meter contest. Yep,
it loaded real well! However the other station needed to be at least 5 7 or
they just didn't hear me. The 100 watts I was running didn't help either.
