[KCDXC] Above the Law?

Dragan,
I think you are probably right that Alex would not misuse the money,
but the real issue is his intent in the whole matter. He is purposely with
holding the money.
He believes he is above the club rules! He thinks he does not have to
follow the rules of the club constitution. He also makes sarcastic remarks
in private emails that are demeaning and disrespectful.
He said last night I had never asked him for the money??
Here is a direct quote from one of his emails when I asked him where the
money was:
"Mike,
I will not put money into rusty jar you call club treasury, because it has
no simple things used in any accounting.
Will need accurate balance sheet before that happens.
Your behavior is not right and I don't know how to explain it. If you feel
that you at your limit what you can do about it, please let me know.
Alex "
I will forward his actual email to both reflectors right after posting this
comment to prove I did not alter or change his words.
He has not just been busy like one person suggested.
His intent is very clear and defiant. The "rusty jar" comment is totally out
of line and speaks to his private attitude with people.
The time frame is really irrelevant and if my source was wrong about receipt
of money, then I will gladly correct it in the newsletter, BUT in the era
of instant wire transfers, the money should have been sent to the club
account INSTANTLY!!! If a check was printed for the equipment it should
have been sent to the club Treasurer, not Alex.
Don't be distracted from the issue at hand with smoke screens on other
issues like accounting system for the future! Stay focused on the real
issue: A Club President who will not follow the by-laws of the club.
Alex, Wouldn't the balance club treasury look even better with over $2000 in
the account??
Watch for my forwarding of the actual email immediately following this
posting.
73,
Mike, AB0X

As far as I know, the radio was shipped to the buyer 2 or 3 weeks ago. I
think last week Alex sent a part to the same buyer which he (Alex) missed to
include in the initial shipment.
Knowing Alex for quite long I have no doubts in his honest intentions and I
believe we should hear his part of the story before we jump into premature
conclusions.

Mike,
The statement regarding Alex not handing over the funds from the donated
radio is very concerning. If this is true, then Alex needs to explain why
these funds have yet to be transferred to you for deposit into the club's
account.
I, for one, call for Alex to provide the membership with a detailed
explanation why these funds have been in his possession for 7 weeks and not
given to our Treasurer for deposit into the club's account. Secondly, I
call for Alex to deliver these funds to the Treasurer for immediate deposit.
