[KCDXC] Serious Financial Concern + State of DX Club.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I would second the sentiment that a meeting be called to bring the financial issue to a rapid conclusion.

Firstly, there seems to be a question of Lee (K0LW) being out of line bringing this to the clubs attention.  Lee had not only the right (as a member) but as the President Emeritus had the duty to do this.  As I understood (upon the the creation of the office "President Emeritus") the duties of the President Emeritus were to be "responsible for advising and assisting the president in the execution of the business of the Kansas City DX club".  As I recall that was the language used the evening the position was created.

That said I certainly believe that Alex (KU1CW) is as honest as Abe Lincoln and that his character is beyond reproach.  This seems to be some type of accounting problem or the interpretation of that problem.  So, lets get it fixed.

There are some strong personalities involved.  Reading the previous e-mails it is apparent there are differences to be resolved.  Hopefully everyone will come out of this still friends. 

Secondly, in my humble opinion there are some major issues in the Constitution that we passed.  They need to be addressed.  I would suggest that after the Financial concerns are taken care of and the dust settles we tackle some of this stuff.
 

I have been disturbed by some comments in the past that reflect some of the changes that have occurred in the past few months as "better" than what we had before.  I don't think that "better" or OLD versus NEW type thinking serves us very well.  This organization should continue evolving as it has since it's inception with the goal of bringing the best of Ham Radio to the Kansas City Metropolitan and surrounding areas.
