[KCDXC] How can this be?

It took me a while to figure this out.

I guy, Igor "Harry" Booklan RA3AUU, used the call, 5B/K3UY  during the
CQ160M contest.

I thought this is strange.. Why would a guy operate from Cyprus with someone
else's callsign?
Then I saw that he also has the K3UY callsign. Can anyone get a USA
callsign? What if I want a Russian callsign.. will the Russki's give me one?
Maybe my Russian Buddies can make it happen.
He has a USA callsign, K3UY, operating in Cyprus... looks like a young Alex
huh?



I recently asked roman RX3RC if he knew of an operator RA1AW (I think) who
was going to operate at PJ2T. He said "Is he going to replace you in ARRL
SSB? We will beat him when he arrives back in Russia"  HI HI
