Tom, could the fact that Missouri has more syllables and letters in =
it's
name (3 syllables, 8 letters) than does Kansas (2 syllables, 6 =
letters),
have anything to do with it? After all, 6 letters divided by 8 letters =
is
75%, and 1066 KS QSO's per contest divided by 1394 MO QSO's per =
contest
equals 76%. Is it just coincidence? Or does it have deeper meaning?

family) all from Missouri
Using the ARRL DX SSB, DX CW, RTTY roundup, 10M, 160M, Sweepstakes SSB =
and
CW contests.
Here are the breakdowns
KANSAS MISSOURI

Ave QSO / Contest 1066 1394
Ave QSO/ Operator 958 1626
So Bill, You can see from the statistics above that Kansas did in fact =
have
more operators (as you said) Even though K0BJ is outside the circle and
accounted for 3031 or over 40% of the KS QSO's (way to go Bruce) You =
can
also see that Missouri, due to our inferiority complex, gets more out =
of
their operators, then Kansas does. What do you say about that?
