[KCDXC] When do you think?

I guess my thinking is.. that everyone who wants to participate in field day
will be out participating.
Our goal is to draw attention to the KCDXC and specifically contesting to
gain members and participants.
This hopefully will include many of the active members in the local clubs.
Those guys that DO the setup, operating, etc. and new folks who have little
or no experience but have recently become excited about radio. What we will
offer that other local clubs don't is a "contesting" club or group within
the club. There are many participants in field day that are not contesters
and likewise I'm sure there are contesters (like myself) that aren't big
field day participants. (I don't view field day as a contest although I hear
they recently changed it from an "operating activity" to a contest.) Any one
else have opinions on this?
