2 great meetings in a row.
Meeting attendance at an all time high (since I've been a member) 25 ish
Attendance at the dinner before equally impressive with 15

Welcome new members Rick W0ZAP and Brad K0TRL
Perhaps a new member welcome package can be assembled with basic club
information.
Meeting schedule, schedule of planned events, web page and reflector
information, club officers, E-Mails mailing addresses, Dues renewal dates,
etc.

Treasury Notes -- There is a treasury and it could use some help.

Discussion to return to the glory days when the KCDXC took two days at
Dayton, and did it up big time. The club agreed unanimously that this was
what they wanted. Everyone was informed that help would be needed, and the
response in general was good. Ideas ranging from running an SSB contest,
bringing in a guest speaker (recent DXPeditionist), DXPED qsl distribution
point, and showing videos. Rick was directed to pursue getting as many room
as possible.

Pile up contest CD's for the Southside hamfest will be Duped for sale. (we
need to find more members.. more money)
Marty (NW0L) will get two tables, Tom (AE9B) will get CD's from BIll
(K0VBU).. I just assume we get started right away while it's fressh on our
minds Bill if you can put the tapes in your car we'll run into each other
sooner or later. Rick (W0ZAP) will burn copies for resale. Bill, please have
a copy of all the calls available (I can get them copied at work).

Hall of Famer.. Lee Bergren in attendance to recieve his CQ award for DX
excellence.
He spoke of great trips, great times and was very appreciative of the
nomination, selection and all those invloved.
Pictures were taken.. look for them on the web site as soon as they can be
processed and uploaded.

The opportunity for each member to tell what DXpeditions they have been able
to attend.
Notably several members have had the opportunity to go the rare and
relatively rare locations.
There was no discussion however on any future plans and perhaps that can be
addressed in the near future as well.
Planning needs to take place months in advance so perhaps there could be
some discussion here...
The most popular DX location seemed to be Arkansas (HI)
(N0TT)Charlie, While I'm thinking about it.. could you forward that ND
contact name and info.

Additional Discussion included having a list of members and the number of DX
entities they have worked and confirmed.
Addition of this info on the web page will be by Bill (K0VBU)
Although this can be positive, I hope new members and young members will
remember many of these fellows have been DXing before some of us were born.
It takes years to accumulate the totals some have. They are a source of vast
knowledge and the best way to get them to share it is to ask questions.

For who ever is keeping track.. I looked mine up today and here's where I
stand in 5 years of hamming although I've never applied for any awards. Note
that RTTY is a MODE (I'm not sure if PSK is or not AK0A)

SSB CW RTTY Mixed
219/ 204 120/119 63/63 233/224
WRK/CFM

With the last two meetings being so energetic and positive a few of us our
discouraged that this is the end of the meeting "season". Is there enough
interest to have a meeting next month.. or would people be interested in
having an informal "gathering" this summer? I'd like to invite new hams to
meet with a good represenative group of club members for a cook out or
other gathering. My place is a little distant.. K0VBU said there used to be
a golf gathering.. is there any interest there? Any other ideas to keep the
energies flowing besides picking on Chuck on the reflector?

Oh yea.. Rick is supposed to check with the ARRL (get it in writing please
or EMail) to see if we can promote the club with a flyer from the Bureau
(KCDXC)

I may have missed some points.. please fill in the blanks.. The nice thing
about this is that it will be held in the archives for future reference. Are
there others who have responsiblities that were not listed here?
