[KCDXC] Input needed from ALL the members of this list.

There are many reasons to have list moderators.
The main reason the topbanders have theirs, I have been told, is to keep
long winded non (TOPBAND SPECIFIC) entries. Some foreign internet users pay
in a different way than we do.. by bandwidth maybe or hours of use (longer
message more time?) I'm not opposed to this type of filtering. I think, if
the club chooses to take that route, specific criteria needs to be stated.
Life is already rather meak without an occasional jab here and there. Us fat
guys know how to take it I guess. I don't think.. "he's picking on me"
should be one of the criteria. Certainly we all have skin a little thicker
than that. If I am personally responsible for any detriment to the club.. I
am man enough to appologize. But not liking someone's opinion or point of
view is not grounds for censorship.

On the topic of reflector news and entries.
in '98 there were 110 entries on the reflector
in '99 there were 162 entries
in '00 there were 428 entries
in '01 there were 333 entries
so far in '02 there's 466

of those entries there's now an average of 17 entries per month or 194
entries per year
which represent a fowarded piece of information from places like
[ARLP] [ARLD] [DXNL] [425 ENG] [The WEEKLY] [OPDX]

At least one of the current members stated his reason for not being on the
list was due to "duplicate" sources of the information like these that he
already has. It does not bother me.. I don't subscribe to most of those and
use my delete button freely.

On the same lines with regard to losing and gaining subscribers and members.
How many subscribers are there to this list? There are only 41 members of
the KCDXC according to the latest information I received. I think we need to
evaluate why our membership has gone from over 100 (in 1993 I think) to its
current number. No doubt there is a problem.. we'll need a lot of ideas and
a lot of effort and action to double our membership. But there's a goal.
