Just accidently found  Bob  Snyder  "on the net"   rang him up and had  a nice  "landline"  QSO  today.    My memory  has  "lost" some of you.   I arrived  in fall of 68,  don't recall exactly when I left,  end of summer  of 69?   I was  flopping around base after graduation  as there  was a delay in the start of GCA school,  Glynco GA   69--70

I was sent to NAS  Miramar,  spring  of '70,  supposed to be 2 years  but got extended  (Navy was broke)  at the 2 year mark  and ended up  ending my  enlistment  at Miramar,  spring of 74.  School was   AN/FPN-36  QUAD RADAR,  and the old AN/CPN-4  GCA.  At Miramar  we had  a brand new  FPN-52  which I helped install.   The precision  RADAR  section  only  of the  CPN-4  with some updates


Bob and I managed to remember some of you

I vaguely  remember  Rick Olsen  from  the  "back of his head"

I haven't checked  last few  months, but  George Burton, K7WWA  was  still kickin' last I knew.  I've spoken with him on the phone

Anybody recall,  I think his name  was  "Guy"  and lived  locally,  like, maybe,  San Mateo or Cupertino?

Larry Hinton  from Portland area?  Still around?
