FLDIGI is a free computer program that works in conjunction with the sound
card to send and receive digitally encoded text messages. It is used mainly
on shortwave frequencies, but also works on VHF frequencies.

Information was obtained through the navy-marine corps MARS net.

Subject: Interview with FLDIGI author VERY INTERESTING

A lot of neat operating tips and features. Start listening at minute marker
15, it runs beyond 66 minutes. Get a good cup of coffee and listen!!

This is from the Linux group on Yahoo--
Hello Dave,

First off, I wanted to mention that I appreciated your interview in the
recent "Linux in the HamShack" podcast at:

   http://lhspodcast.info/2011/01/episode-053-fldigi-in-depth/

Though I knew most of the fldigi details you provided, there were still
a few nice little tidbits in there that I didn't know!

ps. For those of you out there that would like to download ALL the
podcasts, download the Bitorrent versions for 2011, 2010, etc. and
you'll get all of them in OGG format. If you want the MP3 versions,
you'll have to manually download each of them individually (a pain).
