Hi Bill,
There should be two pieces of coax, one RG-6 and the
other RG-58 that run over to where I used to have my
setup. These are beverage feed lines, for the NW and
NE Beverages. The feedlines remain in place, but the
actual wire antennas were removed simply because
copper wire is so expensive. You can see some of that
wire here:

These are photos of the antennas I've installed at
my new QTH, in Navy Housing in Key West. I was lucky
enough to have a QTH with a dock on the water, and
verticals work *very well* here.

I've been extremely busy as the Chief Engineer on a
110ft patrol boat, as this is the busiest operating
area in the US Coast Guard. There have been nightly
chases as migrant smugglers try to get Cubans into the
country. We catch about 95% of them, some by shooting
out their outboard engines with copper shotgun slugs.

I apologize for not leaving the antennas in better
condition before leaving Novato. I was extremely busy
in the weeks prior to my departure. I highly urge you
to get the 160m sloping dipole repaired - that antenna
is a true animal. The 40m moxon, not as much so. A
good idea would be to place a 34ft vertical atop the
water tower. There's plenty of aluminum in the
storage room, and you can feed it with the 1/2"
hardline that's currently running down the side of the
hill.

If I remember correctly, there was a box of WWII
era, large square shaped mica capacitors with screw
lugs in the back storage room. If they are still
around, could I possibly get a couple if you can find
the values I need? I'll pay for shipping and make an
additional donation to the club. I need 400Pf total,
to replace the ceramic doorknob capacitors on the 160m
matching section on my HF2V vertical. The capacitors
need to take a lot of current, and I was told that the
old, big micas are much better suited. I'm currently
limited to 500W output, and I should be able to run
full power with proper caps.
I'm looking for two 200Pf caps, or four 100Pf, ETC
- something to make up 400Pf total.

Thanks!
73, Dave N2NL/4
