Hi guys,
I've been busy at K6BW once again, and it seemed to
make a difference. In the North American SSB Sprint
last night, I've heard several reports. Here's just
two:
from N6ZFO in San Diego:
"Among NCCC signals, the two NL's excelled in signal
strength in San Diego on 80m tonight -- no one else
was even close."
And from K5KA in Oklahoma:
"Those NL stations are both loud."
They are referring to N2NL and W6NL, the latter who
operates with large monoband yagis at 3200ft ASL from
his home on Mt. Unumhum in Los Gatos.

I'm happy to be in his company! Here's a roundup
of the work completed:
Northeast and East Beverages have been reinstalled.
The Northwest Beverage is going back up next week
hopefully
New TA-33 tribander installed behind the building
on the cliff edge - works GREAT. See K5KA's post
above - he's comparing this antenna with a long boom,
5el optimized monobander.
Repaired a bad balun on the TH7 tribander.
New 2el 40M wire yagi installed above the parking
lot, at about 55ft. It needs to go higher, but it
works as well as the Moxon and better in many
instances.
AB6MT's new tuner works great to load the 80M
dipole for 75. I was breaking pileups across the
country last night, and instantly switching to the
delta loop to work Bay Area and southern CA stations
was very effective - see N6ZFO's comment above.
The station is ready for the fall contest season, or
any other operating activity anyone may be interested
in.
73, Dave N2NL
