Field Day update... we seem to be gravitating to Hamilton. Have applied to
the State Parks for Olompoli, so that is still an option, but we don't seem
to be able to locate a generator. Without one, it will be difficult to
provide lighting at night at Olompoli.
Dave, N2NL has been working on a 6 meter and 2 meter beam. He has the
6-meter beam in place, mounted above the 20 meter beam. After a struggle,
it is now working FB! 6 meters has been open recently. He is now turning
his attention to 2 meters. We have a 5-element beam for 2, and he will be
checking it out and possibly mounting it on the clubhouse roof.
Sharon and Steve have offered to volunteer as chefs. Would be great to fire
up the grill for Saturday night dinner, and possibly provide a breakfast
Sunday AM. This venue (e-mail) appears to be the preferred communications
medium, so if you wish to volunteer or have any specific ideas, please leave
a message. Please also try to make the meeting Tuesday, June 20 (Sharon has
other activities that night) so that we can firm up our plans.
