If you are interested in digital communications, there is a Linux disk
which boots from your CD player in your computer.  It doesn't affect your
computer at all, but offers a number of very good communication programs
built
in and all ready to run.  You do need to add a computer interface between
the computer and radio, but that can be nothing more than wire and plugs.

If you'd like to get a copy of the CD (Called "Harv's Hamshack"), you
download the software and burn the CD.  If you are unable to burn a CD, send
me a self-addressed, stamped envelope large enough to hold a CD and $3.00
and I will burn one for you.  If you are a current HWA member, there is no
cost.
