The QSO was with CX5BW, who has very loud with a large
pileup.  We get better conditions on 160M in the
winter, when it's summer in the southern hemisphere. 
South american stations, especially CX (Uruguay), are
pretty rare on top band.

I also heard my first ever Europeans on 160M from
California.  I had decent copy on DF2PY (Germany) and
partial copy of SP3BQ (Poland).  Apparently DF2PY was
hearing me, but I was getting QRMed by other callers
and we didn't make the QSO.  

Europe was loudest last night from the East, confirmed
by others in the area.  Interesting skew conditions!
