"Touch Our Space History" Exhibit

"The best way to learn about history is to touch and hold it!"

Marin County's first space exploration exhibit will feature unique artifacts
from The W Foundation, The Chabot Space & Science Center and the U.S.S.
Hornet Museum. The emphasis will be on the history of space exploration, and
how discoveries in science and technology allowed the U.S. to achieve its
goal of landing 12 men on the moon and returning them safely back to earth.

This unique exhibit gives the public a rare opportunity to touch and hold
space-flown artifacts from the U.S., Russian & Soviet space programs. In
addition, Astronaut Dick Gordon of the Apollo 12 moon mission is tentatively
scheduled to make special guest appearances on Saturday & Sunday.
