[K6BW] Question -- Second Attempt

Seems most frequencies on 40 are fairly busy, but once we get going on 7045
that the frequency clears up a bit. Suspect any 40m freq will be similar.

We have talked about trying 80 and 30 meters, but not everyone has antennas
or tuners to get on those frequencies.

Also, if you are a-lurking, please put on your Mighty Mouse uniform and
break in! We need to hear your CW! Go, Jim Dandy, GO!

Subject: [K6BW] Question -- Second Attempt

Sorry, folks. The query was put together last night after code practice for
transmittal this morning. It got sent, alright, but somewhere in the
process the body of the e-mail got deleted! So here goes again ...........

The frequency we use for code practice may be a problem. Some of the
responses when the practice sessions were first announced dealt with
requests to change the frequency, being unable to use 7.045, etc. My
question is: how much of a problem is the frequency for people to join us?

One of the reasons I'm asking this is that we have found several other
stations coming in on top of us when we start up. I'm thinking that if we
can find another frequency to use that isn't that popular and that people
want to use, we could avoid tying up a frequency others want to use and
avoid the QRM problems we're having now. I agree we're going to have to
deal with QRM anyway, but why make it more of a problem than necessary?

If we can't find another frequency we'll continue to use 7.045 MHz. Any
suggestions?
