Tuesday, May 20th, 7:30PM. We missed the meeting last month, have to =
finalize Field Day etc.
MAY 24th Emergency Communications/ VE Test

please plan to attend and help. Several people have expressed taking =
tests from Technician to Extra, including Code. Should be a good =
turnout.
MAY 30th Scout-O-Rama
Just returned from the Boy Scout Center in San Rafael. They are asking =
us to exhibit at their annual Scout-O-Rama again this year. It will be =
held Saturday, May 30th 11:00AM -4:00PM at the Hamilton Amphitheater (no =
strong afternoon winds!). =20
We have demonstrated with QRP rigs the last two years. We set up a =
simple transmitter and use a portable radio to receive. This year we =
can show off our Rock-Mites. =20
Young Scouts seem to really enjoy CW! They are also interested in =
building simple crystal radio sets. May have an example at the table. =
Can you help?
JUNE 7 CHRS Swap Meet in San Rafael
The California Historical Radio Society will be holding their annual San =
Rafael swap meet Saturday, June 7, 8:00AM to about 11:00AM in San Rafael =
in the parking lot near Lindaro and Third Streets. If you like radio =
sets that glow in the dark or related goodies, you'll really enjoy the =
swap.

will be discussing plans at our Monthly Meeting on May 20th.
JULY 19th MARS Northern California Regional Conference
Saturday, July 19. We are again hosting the Northern California region =
conference at Building 549. Over 20 MARS members from all over Northern =
California and Nevada will be attending and HWA members are welcome. If =
you'd like to join us for lunch, please let me know so you can be added =
to the lunch list. There will be a charge (yet to be finalized) to =
cover the cost of the meal, something under $100 from what I hear. :^) =
It should be reasonable. MARS issues will be discussed and Technical =
Seminars are held in the afternoon. There is also talk about a =
