[K6BW] Rockmite Batteries

I have good news/bad news on FREE batteries for the rock mite rigs.
I talked to a guy on 2 mars who collects and gives away free batteries
 to deserving hams  (he collects them  from a hospital  who must pay for
a service to dispose of them) These are used batteries that must be
changed out by the hospitals by  mandate. Sometimes used only once. 
They are 12v  camcorder batteries and we can solder leads to the flat
tabs on the batteries and they can be recharged many times Sounds
perfect for our needs.
---The bad news is, he is in Sunnyvale. So if anyone is traveling South
as far as Sunnyvale perhaps they could pick up the batteries. He has 12
of them.
Any volunteers??

Anyway, don't forget to get your checks to me by the 1 st of Feb.

By the way, the rigs we are ordering are for 40 mters--7.040
 I think the freq. range is 7.040 -7.039,  +or -
Not a big band spread but there is plenty of fun on 7.040
