I just talked with the Supervising ranger for Olompali, who suggested
holding Field Day at the park qualifies as a "Special Event."   Because of
the state deficit and existing park policy, that means that we are subject
to a $25 filing fee and a $75 use permit if we choose to hold Field Day at
Olompali.

He said he is "willing to work with us" regarding the fee.  That apparently
means if we make an offer that seems reasonable to them, they might accept
it.

Any comments or suggestions?
