It is a good question. Unfortunately, several people who might help are out
of town right now, which complicates things. But it brings up a question
which so far is very hard to answer. How do we build some sort of momentum
to do the things we as a club have set out to do? We can always get help at
the last minute provided someone else (usually me, or Jerry) sets everything
up first. But can't we also have others take on a project and see it
though? We still need to finish a number of projects, some of them simple
such as painting the room where the library is located, and finishing the
moulding around the new door. Others take a little more effort such as
putting an ID'er on the repeater. We have the equipment, we just need to
hook it up.
We have about 40 days to get the tower. We even have the offer of a
helicopter to install the tower at the clubhouse, but we need the basic
manpower to take on the job and see it through. For example, at least one
guy support needs to be set so we have a good 120-degree support all around
the tower. Two of the existing guy supports are almost 180 degrees from
each other.

Yes, but who is willing to help set up the station? I know you were there
the other weekend, and appreciate your help.

We have a top of the line beam, another which is on the tower we would like
to move to the clubhouse, and pieces which might make up a third beam, all
good for 20-15-10 meters, and probably useful for the WRK bands.

Yes, and I for one would like to see a full 160 meter wire loop. We need
the tower in place to support one of the legs of a loop. But we have to get
the tower up before we can hang any wires from it! :-)

The question still stands, will you, the reader join in a group to help put
up the tower? Without your help, we won't be able to.
