[K3VOA] 40 Meter Beam

I've been meaning to share these with the group.  It's work on the 3 element 40 meter beam.   Here I had a gin pole at the top of a 45 foot tower (half built), and used that to raise the beam off the ground to check the SWR.  It worked well, the rope connected to my tractor, through a pulley at tower base.  There are two tag-lines, used to keep the antenna away from the tower as I was pulling it up and the other to level it off when it got to the top.

Here is a video of it going up.  The tower in the background is 85'.  One of these weekends I'll get the guys over to hoist it to the top.

Speaking of 40 meters, my ¼ watt WSPR transmitter was heard in Hawaii this morning, at our sunrise.  Pretty amazing.
