Al -

As a result of the sad news, I've transferred W6UZ's entry to the Silent
Keys section of the list of Foreign Service Hams:

GRAY, John D., W6UZ, W5FZG, W6FZG, WA4OKU, WB6SEV. Born 1920. Ex-VOA
Delano and Greenville. Retired in Charlottesville VA. Attended VOA ARC
meeting 1993 05 06. Per e-mail of 2015-10-02 from son, Mike Gray,
mhaslamgray at comcast.net, John Gray died in June 2015 at age 94 in
Charlottesville.

Good luck in meeting Mike Gray's request.

73,

Dex, W1STN

Dear Al -

Apologies for bugging you

My Dad, John D. Gray (W6UZ, ex-VOA Delano and Greenville) passed away in
June at 94 in Charlottesville. He wanted us to have, among other HAM
gear, his tube collection. My older son Alex would like to sell them as
John had wished, but unfortunately he doesn't know how to use the tube
tester he's bought to verify the state John wrote on the boxes. Is there
any expertise in the K3VOA family might be able to help us?

Regards to all, active and retired VOAers, and many thanks

Mike Gray
