[K3VOA] VOA ARC meets tomorrow, and July minutes

The VOA Amateur Radio Club will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11:45, in the shack.

Below are draft minutes for the July 2014 provided by club secretary Tony Riggs.

Draft minutes of the July 2014 meeting of the VOA Amateur Radio Club (K3VOA)

President Gerhard Straub called the meeting to order at 11:51 on July 1, 2014.



We have added one new member for a total, this month, of 18.



Treasurer's Report: Treasurer John Croft was not here for this meeting, so there is no report.



Station Report: No station report since J. Croft was not here.



The minutes of May's meeting were approved. (There were no minutes for June since we were on a field trip to FEMA.)



Gerhard reminded us that K3VOA is a member of SHARES and invited us to operate the net at 12 PM Wednesdays.



Old Business: Gerhard has not been able to get the email list global yet. That is a work in progress. He did mention the possibility of moving our website to QRZ.com. This might open the possibility of moving our email to that venue.



We still have problems with our PC. Management hasn't responded yet to deal with it.



New Business: No real new business. We had a discussion of Field Day. Several members were on the air.



Two of our members joined us by phone on a conference call setup. It seemed satisfactory, but we also discussed the possibility in the future of doing a Skype type of hookup using a wide view camera and a couple of mikes.



We adjourned at 12:11 PM.
