[K3PZN-List] CCARC Website Work - Suggestions Requested

All,
Thanks for the suggestions so far. Let me address the maintenance issue a
bit since that seems to be a worry. Yes, it will need updating but once
built, I envision most of the material to be fairly static. What will need
regular updating are pages tied to our local activities: meeting minutes,
presentation schedule, and net control roster. I envision updates every
two weeks, mostly just meeting notes and a few updates. This type of site
is easy to upload to and it is almost a one-step process**.*
Someone suggested a while ago that instead of duplicating things we link to
them, for example, the ARRL hamfest list. I hope a lot can be done to
offload the maintenance in that way.
Note too that this type of site also can include a blog and if you want
everyone a chance to upload stuff, a blog might be the way to go. If
updates are tied to taking meeting minutes, it can actually just be a swap
of task, trading posting on the reflector for uploading to the site.
So for me, even if I have to maintain it for a while, I'm not worried about
maintenance.
I'll add another question to the list: If we include a library page for
documents of interest, what should be stored there? Meeting minutes?
Scripts for running the nets? ???????
73,
Pete
***I've built and maintained a site using this type of on-line system
before and it is actually less work than a site where you FTP files.
