[K3PZN-List] MFJ Repair, a cautionary tale

All,

Just as a word to the wise, I've learned that if you send something to MFJ
for repair and include the stated cost of repair, you may find it
profitable to query the help desk after they've cashed your check to get
the name of the tech working on your equipment. I'd then suggest you call
the guy and verify he knows you've paid. It seems there is some autonomy
there with the techs deciding who's gear to work on first and at least in
my case, the guy never unfolded the product service form so did not see the
note that I'd paid. He'd had the unit for four weeks but had not touched
it. Now that he knows its paid, he said he'll look at it today or tomorrow
so should ship Monday.

73,

Pete
