[K3PZN-List] SSH Computers together

Hi Kyle,
Secure Shell (SSH) is normally associated with Unix (Linux) based systems.  If your laptops in question are linux then ssh will work fine although you will need to make sure the ssh server portion is allowing connections. (Google "set up ssh on linux")
If your laptops are running Windows then you would need to look at using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).  The RDP client is included with all versions of Windows, but unfortunately the server portion is not. It is usually only found in the higher and versions (Professional etc.) and the server versions.

You can always add a third party RDP server.  See this link for more information:Remote Desktop Protocol - Wikipedia

 Subject: [K3PZN-List] SSH Computers together

Hi all,
I just fixed up an older laptop of mine for use for mostly radio applications so it is staying in my basement with all my radio stuff. I'm wondering would I be able to SSH into it like you can do with the raspberry pi to access information off of it from my laptop in my room. That way if I need something or want to try something I don't have to run all over the house.
Thanks
Kyle
