Some of you may remember when I brought information on an EMP event that 
was the basis of an Army MARS exercise. It was based on one of the 
largest geomagnetic storms on record. In 1859 CME (Coronal Mass 
Ejection) was a direct hit on the Earth. Telegraph lines which had 
become necessities for comms around the world lit up and burned. At that
time there were few electronic devices. Do a search for the Carrington 
Event and you will see what can happen.

In 1989, another CME knocked out electricity for 12 hours for over 6 
million residents in Quebec.

In 2012, a similar event just missed the earth. So, who knows when but 
for sure you want to be disconnected from antennas, the internet and and 
power grids when it hits. Taking some precautions ahead of time will 
determine whether you gear survives or not. There is information out 
there, but first line of defense is not be connected and have those
leads protected so you can hook up if you survive.

True Infragard and other entities are in place, but little goes EMP that 
comes from ole SOL!
