Hello Raspberry Pi fans,

And everyone else! Here are where we are in our group progress. If you are not caught up or ahead of the pack right now then help is at hand. Some notes for you ...

1. Last month, after our Saturday, January 16, we got the FLdigi communications software package up and configured. It is certainly a fine piece of software at that, and free too. So, next, we must interface the Pi to one or more transceivers, either FM or SSB, or both.

2. At tonight's meeting, Kyle Thornton KC3FMP, has an announcement of a Raspberry Pi Net on our club repeater. You won't want to miss it!

3. I will try to drop by early by a half-hour to the club general meeting tonight at 50 Kate Wagner Road. The meeting will start promptly at 7:30 PM, so let's hope traffic (and the rumor of snow tomorrow) don't slow us down tonight! If others drop by early too then that will be nice! (I am not an expert. Not like Pete, who has had a bunch of successes recently!)

4. Also we will use a half-hour AFTER the meeting tonight as well if needed. Somebody PLEEZE bring an HDMI display unit to share as needed! Let's tackle any problem anyone is having as far as getting Raspbian Jessie up and running and getting the FLdigi software configured. Once that is done then we can talk about the radio interface issues, especially exactly which USB sound cards work and which ones do not.

5. Keep up the good chatter on the club reflector. Very helpful!

Cheers,

Pat N8PK
