That's our current configuration, a few humble thoughts on our operation - pending official communication from our club secretary.  Having only 4 HF rigs (thus far) should make our mutual use of the spectrum quite pleasing.  But we do wish to have enough operating seats around the tables - so stay tuned and let us know your availability as FD approaches.

Explaining:

1. 40m SSB WX3B
2. 20/80m CW N3SB  (co-located with station 1)
3. 20/15m SSB KB3WAV
4. 40/15m CW WB8YYY (co-located with station 3, but not using 15m at the same time)

+ N3VOP VHF
+ N8PK satellite
+ KF3AK/KB3QMO traffic and training

KEY THEME -- Flexible Rapid Timely Deployment.  we have no other choice!  we are sharing the site with a flea market saturday morning that will linger into the early afternoon.  Our club trustee Andy has directed we not attempt any setup prior to 9 am saturday, and even this appears questionable we can do much.

At the moment I am capturing a need for 5 HF antennas (or maybe as low as 4)

20m tribander for station 3 on rocketlauncher
40/15m dipole on same for station 4

40m wire for station 1

all-band windom for station 2

80m TBD wire for SSB operation -- this can be deployed later in the day if used

Suggested Optional Concept --  origin is osmosis from much club discussion!

Part 1:  mitigate 20m co-site QRM

- start KB3WAV station on 15m if we have some propagation, transition later to 20m
- start N3SB station on 20m, transition to 80m opposite of Kerri (and maybe even use 10m if there is propagation)

Part 2: manage sharing of 15m
- start WB8YYY on 40m, only use 15m when Kerri is not using it (but always on the same dipole)

Part 3: co-existence on 40m
- we really must optimize orientation of our antennas!  while planning an inverted V at WB8YYY, need to assess what is our best approach -- and ideally run some tests before we start operating.

Part 4.  80m is not so hard -- the atmosphere will be noisy enough -- just deploy any 80m SSB radiator far from Steve's windom.

N1MM is preferred logging package that all 4 of us are using, it allows operators to not need training for each rig.

These are mere recommendations that may reflect everyone's thinking.

Oh yes -- we are going to need some kind of welcome station to great on-lookers who may be still here when we deploy -- to answer 'what are these crazy people doing?'  'does being around all this RF so long cause this kind of behavior?'  73
