Here are my comments to the resent emails. 
First - I'm am not a VE. It's not that I would not want to be one - it's just that I go to hamfests to sell and would not want to be away from my tables during a test. Someone else watching my stuff for 5 mins while I take a restroom break is OK - a customer will wait until I can answer their questions BUT to be away for an hour but is not good business on my side. I would be there on Saturday evening to help setup and on Sunday afternoon to clean up as my part to help the club.
Next - I agree with Phil that asking John Creel and the Laurel group to run the test makes perfect sense. Our club has a hard enough time finding people for all the stations. For us to run the test it would take 3 or 4 people away for 2 hours (setup time - testing & grading time) would over-work the other's on the grounds. Give the Laurel group free admission and a free coffee for them doing the test. I say to make this a no-brainier and update the K3PZN website with the fact that CCARC will have a FREE test session conducted by the Laurel group on the hamfest flyer (online) and on the home page would bring in a few more people to the fest.
