Folks;

We're going to have a communications checkout net this afternoon at  
4:00 PM. This will be a short net, intended to check out how well  
everyone can access the repeater system. We've been having some  
problems on the 2m side lately, and we do experience a lot more  
crackling on 2m during periods of rain and wind - which we're going to  
have a lot of in our near future! If you have 450 capability, I  
recommend you try using the 449.875 repeater since it will likely be  
easier to hear.

Please take this opportunity to try out your 2m and 440 gear,  
batteries, antennas, etc.
