[K3PZN-List] Repeater Update

In advance of the meeting tomorrow thought I would send out a progress update on the repeaters. 


Good news is we're on the home stretch . I'm going to target the weekend of July 4th for the installation. As there is still some work to be done before we're ready that will need to be confirmed a little closer in (also we'll need good weather). We'll also need a trailer and an appliance dolly, we can rent the appliance dolly without too much trouble but a trailer would allow us to roll the rack on and off a lot easier than lifting it onto my pickup. We'll also have 1 or 2 old racks to haul out of the site. 


6m: Repeater was pulled from service on Friday afternoon. I've had it on the bench all weekend and ran into some issues with the receive audio and tone board that caused me run out of time to put it back in service with the old controller this weekend. I think the path of least resistance is to leave it down for now since putting it back in service will take time that could be better used on completing the new repeaters. If someone has a lot of heart burn here let me know and we can work something out some evening this week and likely get it back on the air. 


2m repeater: need to pull the existing PA out of service and install it in the rack. This will take the existing repeater repeater down until we can complete the install. My target date here is Friday July 1st. 


70cm: The new machine is ready to go. Initial install will be with the reduced power Motorola PA. If the initial install goes well we may get that done during the install. If not we'll go back a few weeks later add that PA. 


I'd expect a follow up trip to the site on the weekend of July 16th (2 weeks after install) to shake out any initial gripes and things that we just run out of time to do during the initial install.
