[K3PZN-List] Field day 2011: less than 3 weeks...

A lot of time on it?  You have us thinking your XYL has banished you to the box!

I can't imagine the club's generators handling your AC --

I sense this may be turning into a 'tactical exercise' vs something over-planned, not that Jim hasn't worked hard to get this off the ground.

Its not a requirement that you have to operate from 'the box' - although it was popular with our ARRL HQ visitor!

You could use your pallet of batteries that ran the digital station when we were QRP that year -- maybe it will handle your AC for a little while!

I sense we need a better idea of operator headcount for FD -- and it would be neat if folk would literally come out of the wood-work for a large event.  We can all operate our own rigs at home - so hopefully we can stimulate some interest.

I should be able to help put a second CW station together -- but I sense it may be 'gray' not 'green' in either sense.  Let's see how many CW ops we can draw (not that I wish to be lumped in a particular category!)

PS - LOTW today has my 1st QSO/QSL to Europe on 6m.  100w + a two element quad.  nice gift from the E-layer a couple days ago

Jim,
Does anyone have an extra generator for FD?  I will bring my 5000 watt unit but it's getting a lot of time on it so I am a little concerned.  I only need about 2000 to 2500 watts to power my BOX but last year I supplied two other stations too.   What do you think?
