Sometime recently I glanced over an article about restoring a Collins S-Line radio.  I was impressed with how well the author had cleaned the chassis and restored the dials of te radio.  I'm pretty sure the article was in one of the ham radio magazines but I can't find it.  

Anyone remember seeing the article?  

I'm working on a Philco model 38-3 radio (1938 vintage) and want to clean the chassis to get rid of all the crud that has accumulated over 70 plus years.  Anyone have suggestions on how to clean the radio without damaging old fragile components.
