Thanks for posting!  

1. Andy is WO3L (not W03L) -- I am not picking on you as I made the same mistake 
in logging someone this way in Sweepstakes (meaning my log did not recognize 
their proper call so I was a dreaded dupe - and dope also).  


2. Not a bad touch to provide a 2-3 sentence description of the talk (to verify 
you stayed awake).  Yes his topic is HF Pedestrian mobile (aka HF Pack) 
operation.  I can imagine someone being interested in this stuff we discuss at 
our meetings '50 years from now' but you never know!

CCARC Meeting October 11, 2010

  Andy, W03L, called the meeting to order at  7:35 PM. 21 members and  
one guest in attendance.
The meeting began with introductions all around.
Minutes approved.
Committees:
Treasury ?
Given by Pete Morton.

DCS ?
RACES drill ? Tuesday, 7:15 at EOC
Emergency Manager may not be available.  Split up the team - ½ RACES  
drill, ½ work the Hospital station.
The new Emergency Manager was previously with Anne Arundel County.

Repeaters ?
Repeating as expected.  Packet running as expected
6m net:  Weds. 8:30 PM
Ham-fest
Oct. 24th
Need help setup on Oct. 23rd, 4:00 PM and cleanup on the 24th.
Pat needs help with a satellite launch.
Presentation: Soldering SMT with ?Easy Bake Oven?
No testing scheduled at this time.
Suggestion:  Add reflective tape to the Ham-fest signs for easier  
identification.
New Biz
Maryland tax people visited the CARA ham-fest and may do the same to  
ours.  They should be directed to the club officers to handle their  
questions.
