[K3PZN-List] BARC Hamfest needs help

BARC & ARRL Maryland State Convention
--------- THIS WEEKEND -------------

I will be working at the AMSAT booth 
all day Saturday in Exhibition Hall.  
Do drop by!  We will have satellite 
contact demos info posted at the booth, 
to take place I believe just outside 
the hall.  

On Sunday morning we will hold two 
AMSAT forums at the hamfest.  The first 
at 9 AM on HOW TO make satellite contacts 
using simple (portable) FM and SSB gear 
with (cheap but effective) homemade 
antennas.  Presented by Richard Crow, 
N2SPI, from upstate New York and Dee 
Interdonato, NB2F, from New Jersey.  

The second forum will be hosted by our 
own Rich Mitchell, N3III, and me about 
microcontrollers (PIXAXE and Arduino 
types) and the PICetSat balloon 
application, complete with a demo 
flight similar to the one we had at our 
Mason-Dixon Hamfest last October.  

PLEASE C'MON OUT to the hamfest this 
weekend.

  I can't help at BARC, but, Russ Kulp gave the phone number of a gentleman who has a friend that has several power amps he is willing to donate, do you think anyone would want them, if so let me know and I will get back to him.
