The ARES/RACES group uses QSL.net to host their web page.
I've been the web page "master" since its inception & have 2 questions for the group:
1. Is there anyone else willing to take over the job? Right now it is extremely easy since no one ever sends information to be put on the web pages there has been nothing to do for the last few years.
2. QSL has changed hands, see the below email I received, and they do need contributions to keep the service going.
tnx & 73 de ke3fl
Phil

Dear QSL.net users,
We hope you are enjoying the services we provide, such as free Web Hosting, Email Forwarding, Mailing Lists and DX Log Search.
In January 2009, K3TKJ retired from offering these services, and turned offer these systems to KA9FOX and K5TR. Since then, a number of improvements have been made:
1) All services migrated to fast, new servers.
2) Servers now located in a state-of-the-art Data Center, with multiple high-bandwidth Internet connections.
3) A powerful Self-help System was created, to allow our users to:
** Request Password Reset.
** Change Password to something easier to remember.
** Change E-Mail Forwarding address.
** Enable or Disable Web Hosting Account.
** Enable or Disable E-Mail Forwarding Service.
** Donation tracking (beta) -- will allow you to see your donations.
To use the Self-Help System, go to http://www.qsl.net and click "Login"
4) A Support Ticket System was created, to allow users to open a ticket for assistance with any of our services. A BIG thank you to Michael AA9ZT and Tom KC9ECI for their help with answering support tickets! To submit a ticket for assistance, go to http://www.qsl.net and click "Contact Us".
We have received many positive comments on how fast web pages are being served and how reliable our services have been. The new Self-Help system is also making it possible for users to manage their services with ease, and has been very well received. Thank you for your positive feedback!
For over 14 years, QSL.net has been dedicated to the sole purpose of furthering the abilities and interests of the Amateur Radio Community, with free Internet services for hams. QSL.net now needs to ask you for something in return. Your financial support.
In addition to the data center bandwidth & hardware costs, we have hundreds of hours of time involved in answering support tickets (over 6,000 tickets since Jan 2009), programming and maintaining the Self-Help and Ticket systems, as well as the day-to-day administrative tasks of keeping all systems GO.
QSL.net exists solely on your donations!
Would you be willing to put something in our "Tip Jar" to say "Thank you" and to show your support?
If so, see our Donation page at http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Donations can be sent via PayPal, Credit Card, Check or Money Order, and would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thank you for your support and 73!
Scott KA9FOX
