A High-Altitude Balloon Experiment To Fly
in our local area. (Or, "take an hour
break from the Maryland QSO Party fun".
Note: the PICetSat II will be roving
across Md county lines. Don't miss it!)

HERE IS the link with fun flight facts, as
promised! . . .

       http://patkilroy.com/simsat/4/

If the weather is bad, or we are not ready,
then we will announce it on the VHF net this
Saturday morning (K3PZN/R).

Any make up date is To Be Determined, but,
let it be known, we will be flying these
experiments on a semi-regular basis through
October and beyond.

Cheers,

Subject: K3PZN: PICetSat II Maiden Voyage To Be Announced

I HOPE TO announce in the next 48 hours
SimSat-4, a test flight of the PICetSat II
module to occur no earlier than this
Saturday morning, 8:00 A.M. EDT.

I hope to put up a web page with the facts
and send you the link. For now, the downlink
will be on about 434.000 MHz FM in about
10 WPM CW with a complete frame being sent
every 104 seconds including a rest period.
Our code reader of choice is either GetCW or
FLdigi, found on the web. With these you
may employ a "save to text" file function
to capture data.

I am looking for volunteers to copy the
telemetry live and report back to me
your TIMESTAMPED log results. We will
use the K3PZN/R on 145.410 of Westminster,
Maryland to coordinate our efforts.

More info to follow later. (The launch
team is VERY busy right now.) Thank you!

Cheers,

Pat Kilroy
