Carroll County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes, 8 September 2008

President Andy Leeds, WO3L, called the meeting to order at 7:35 PM. Twelve
members and Four guests were present.

Introductions: Everyone in the room introduced themselves.

Announcements:

The next CCARC meeting will be on Monday October 13th at the Emergency Services
Training Center in Westminster.

The next BoD meeting will be on Wednesday September 22nd, 7:30 PM at the FTC.

The CARA Hamfest will be on Sunday October 4.

>From the mailbag:

There was no club mail available. 

Secretary’s Report:

Steve N3SB published the secretary’s report from last month’s meeting to the
club’s email reflector. The report was accepted by the membership present.

Treasurer’s Report:

Tony KF3AK provided the treasurer’s report, detailing current balances, income,
and expenses. The report was accepted by the membership present. 

Board of Directors Report:

The BoD report was published to the reflector. There were no questions about the
minutes.

Committee Reports:

Repeater – The repeater has been behaving.

DCS – The next meeting on the Fourth Monday in September. 

Station Committee – A Work party met at the Club Station on Labor Day. The
antennas were re-connected to the coax feedlines on the tower. One has been
connected to the patch panel. The soundcard interfaces have been re-connected
to the HF radios in the club station. An auction will probably be occurring at
the October club meeting to clear out some of the extra stuff.

Training & Education Committee – Committee still open

QSL Bureau – Mike N3VOP reported that the bureau is operating as normal.

Digital Committee – No news to report. 

TEC Committee – Will spool up after Field Day.

Tailgate-Fest and Hamfest – Our Tailgate-Fest Grand-Prize winner Heru W3WVV will
be picking up his prize at the Hamfest. 

ARES / RACES – The next RACES Commex will be on Tuesday September 10th at the
EOC. This will be just a Comms Check.

Evening Presentation:

Curt WB8YYY gave a presentation on Logbook of the World.

Rebekah Kilroy prepared a video on the Station work that was performed on Labor
Day.

President Leeds adjourned the meeting at approximately 8:45 PM.
