At the club meeting we gave out all 5 of the Barebones Board kits with their P4 programmers (serial interface to the BBB).  Steve gave out a lot of Arduino CDs.  To find the instructions for building the BBB, just look on the CD under Hardware\Bare  Bones Board and Hardware\Programmer. We will try to line up a McHUG workshop before Christmas.
