Evening Presentation:

1) The club received a briefing about the upcoming Vacation Bible School, to be
held during the week of June 23-27 at the Gunpowder Baptist Church. The CCARC
has been invited to tell the VBS kids about Amateur Radio on Tuesday June 24th.
The age groups start at the pre-school level, and go up to the sixth-grade
level. As of this time the club still needs one or several individuals to take
the time to talk to these youths about our hobby.

2) Practical Antenna Topics: Several antenna construction and measurement topics
were covered including a 5 Band 20m-10m home-brew vertical dipole, and an
80m-10m Windom. The vertical contains relays to select the band of operation.
We also discussed coaxial cable measurement techniques and equipment.

Closing notes:

Jack Kolb brought a floating, gimbaled globe that has some fascinating
properties!

President Leeds adjourned the meeting at approximately 9:15 PM.

Respectfully submitted;
Steve N3SB
CCARC Secretary
