[K3PZN-List] Field Day Proposal

This shouldn't be a problem PERIOD. Having spent one of my Field Days
with W3AO, I have seen separate SSB/CW/Digital stations (plus GOTA) on
every band running high power with high-gain beams for 24 hours straight
without significant interference. It really is possible! To me the
solution is in better planning and setup rather than just turning down
the power level. If we want to run QRP as a strategic tactic to get the
extra multiplier, then I can accept that. However, running QPR because
the station captains don't have the knowledge or don't want to be
bothered to take the time to do the proper planning discourages me from
wanting to participate. Please don't take my comments the wrong way. I
am just passionate about Field Day and quit anal about trying to make
the best effort possible. As most members seem to be interested in just
showing up, plugging in a few stations and having fun the serious
PVRC-style operation is probably not going to happen. However, I just
can't accept that the only solution to interference is to turn down the
power.

Just to clarify,

"Last year I had a lot of problems with the CW station on the
same band"

this should not be a problem under my proposal, I am proposing that we
limit ourselves to 1 transmitter per band (regardless of mode) at a
time. This is not a rules requirement but a logistical one targeted
directly at the interference issue.

Fun is definitly why I went with a class F proposal and fewer
transmitters. I hope that we have 3 antennas in place and only need to
setup 2 additional, run some coax across the parking lot into the
classroom areas, and re-arrange tables, chairs, and move a few rigs in
to the classroom to make this happen.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I'd like to hear more.
