Carroll County Amateur Radio Club
Meeting Minutes, 12 February 2007

Vice-president Rich Mitchell, N3III, called the meeting to order at 7:40 PM.
Twelve members and 1 guest were present.

Presentation:

Rich N3III gave the club a demonstration of how to create a custom QSL Card,
using regular MS-Office tools.

Announcements:

The next Board of Directors meeting will be held on Wednesday 21 February, 7:30
PM at the Fire Training Center. All members are welcome to attend.

The next club meeting is on Monday March 12 2007, at the FTC.

Nominations are now open for club officers and board members. Elections will be
held at the March CCARC meeting.

The RACES Drill for Tuesday 13-February has been cancelled.

The County is planning a large RACES drill on Thursday April 26.

The 147.285 machine was down for a couple days last week. Frank K3MTT and Tony
KF3AK visited the site and did some repairs. A faulty 12 Volt power supply was
the culprit. It’s been repaired and will be installed within the next couple
days. In the meantime, a temporary 12 Volt supply was tapped into service, to
put the machine is back on the air.

No club mail was available for review.

Secretary’s Report:

Steve N3SB published the secretary’s report to the club’s email reflector. The
report was accepted by the membership present.

Treasurer’s Report:

Our treasurer was not available at the meeting. No report was available. Bill
W3STG has confirmed that the club’s tax forms have been filed for the year.

Board of Directors Report:

Gene KB3GHR briefed the club on the highlights from the January Board of
Directors Meetings. Nominations were discussed.
