[K3PZN-List] ARES EVENT -- Wine Festival Bike Tour & 5K Run -- Saturday 16-September

Greetings Folks;

The Wine Festival Bike Tour will be held on Saturday September 16, from 8:00 AM
to 4:00 PM. Carroll ARES has offered to support this event, as we've done in
previous years. This is a great opportunity to hone your skills in net
operation, and packet radio. 

We should have the start-finish station set up by 7:30 AM. The rest stops can be
brought on-line a little later. 

Butch Bryner, Regional Director of the American Lung Association of Maryland, is
VERY happy we're able to provide an essential element to rider safety. Our role
in this event is highlighted in the FAQ sheet provided to all the volunteers. 

All ARES members, and any other HAMs interested in helping out, are encouraged
to participate.

I will provide details of the rest stops requiring HAM staff shortly, for those
of you who want to lay claim to your favorite stop in advance.
