The monthly club meeting was held on July 11, 2005 at the FTC at 7:30PM.

 

VP John K3KWO presided over the meeting.

 

There were 20 members present.

There was 1 guest.

 The minor quorum was 8, and the major quorum was 17.

A quorum being present, the meeting commenced.

 

Announcements:

There is a Board of  Directors meeting next Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the FTC at 7:30PM.  All members are welcome.

 

There are Hamfest flyers available in the club station.

 

The BRATS hamfest is Sunday July 24, 2005.

 

The club picnic is July 16, 2005 at 1PM at Gambrill state park Pavilion #2.

 

The QSL card design contest will be decided at the picnic.

 

The TailgateFest will be Sunday August 14, 2004 at the Ag Center.

A QSL card was received from W3VSD Albert Ciampaglia

Spoke to Bill N3WM via CW on 14MHz on 6/25/05 at 2359.

He reports 599 RST.

 

Steve N3SB gave the meeting presentation.

The topic was Antenna Modeling with Computers.

 

The Secretary posted the club minutes.

The Treasurer announced the financial status.

There was no door prize.

 

The club recognized Steve N3SB's birthday.

 

Business:

BR050603 passed by unanimous consent.

"When the club receives an offering of funds for a dedicated purpose, the Board of Directors may accept and spend those funds in accordance with the requirements of the offering."

 

Setup for the TailgateFest is Saturday August 13, 2005 at 4PM.  Assistance is needed.

 

Field day: Mike N3VOP needs participants to sign up so that he can order t-shirts.  The tentative points = 9754 (19A)

 

County-wide drill: 19 amatuers and 1 guest attended.

The audio was recorded, and a copy will be made available for members.

A transcript may become available.

 

The meeting ended at 9:22PM.
