Greetings to all:

I hope all had a great summer!

The American Lung Association's Wine Festival Bike Tour is coming up on Saturday, September 17.

I have not yet received specific details on this event, but if it is set up as in the past, there will be five locations that we will need to have personnel at (AG Center, Little George's, New Windsor, Union Bridge, Taneytown).  To cover all locations effectively, requires at least 10 people.  More is always good.  We usually provide 2 meter voice and packet communications.

SAG personnel is usually provided by Carroll County REACT.

These events are not limited to just ARES members.  Anyone who would like to get involved with this type of support training is welcome.  So, invite a friend!

If you can let me know that you will be available now, that is great.  But, I will be looking for a definitive answer by the week of 12 September.


On another topic, now that the summer months are history and hopefully all are settling back into routines, I would like to remind you all of the CARET net on Tuesday nights at 8:30 PM on the 145.410 repeater.
