FB.  thanks for post!  i routinely run psk-31 with my
K2 at 5w.  yes more power would help break pile-ups
(generally rare on this mode) but not often needed. 
last winter i was conversing with a local on 80m,
where my antenna is too rediculously low to be
effective.  i saw a Russian station and worked him,
not something i routinely do even with CW on 80m.  yes
this mode is great for those who dont have large
antenna farms, and a nice change of pace for those
that do!  have fun with your portable set-up!
