There are two interesting articles on BPL on the ARRL website: www.arrl.org

One has to do with the FCC's refusal to follow its own R&R's and shutdown a
system in Arizona.  The last time that the FCC broke its own rules, the
Justice Department stepped in and the result was the breakup of AT&T and the
telcom industry in the USA being run by a single Federal Judge.

The other article is about the shutdown of the system in Menlo Park, CA.
This was the very same system that "
Smilin'" Mike Powell visited and tought was so great.

I suspect that the whole BPL issue will wind up in Federal Court and the
Justice Department have to slap the FCC's wrist.
